All the leaves are brown and the sky is grey

If you are of a certain era, you will remember this opening by the Mamas and the Papas: California Dreamin'. But, if you live in northern New England, you'll also know that a lot of our weather this time of year is exactly that: brown leaves and grey sky. We are all hoping for a dash of color again once the October foliage has fallen to the ground. A little excitement! A little something new!

Children revel in new things. Their sense of curiosity and excitement knows no bounds. Even the smallest things can be fascinating for them. Sometimes they get excited about things that most adults would overlook or dismiss.

The boys and girls at the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children are at that excitable age where so many things stir their curiosity and imagination. The Homes provides them that stability where their imagination and curiosity can develop. That is so important for their development. One of the most remarkable things about successful adults is that they continue to be curious about learning new things. Some of these adults have become successful entrepreneurs, authors, musicians, scientists---you name it! Why? Because they never stop exploring, learning and inquiring.

Your donation to the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children maintains an environment for a new generation of budding explorers, authors and scientists. Their curiosity and excitement about life are leading them to a future yet to be discovered for them and for you.

Please make a donation today by clicking on the Donate icon above. God bless you!
